Two facts define this product. It is the largest enclosure measured anywhere on this site, and it is not a coop. Both matter, and the second one is the reason this review exists rather than a simple recommendation.
The measurement
157.2 inches by 117.6 inches is 18,487 square inches, or 128.4 square feet - the 10 by 13 foot footprint the listing advertises. For comparison, the largest wooden coop-and-run kit on this site measures 51.6 square feet whole-unit and most are under 25.
The bird claim, read correctly
The listing claims room for 12 to 15 chickens. That is worth taking apart, because this site's capacity table divides every published footprint by the 4 square feet of indoor floor a standard hen needs - and that is the wrong measure for an enclosure with no henhouse in it.
What the steel and the cloth buy you
- Lifespan. A decade or more against three to six seasons for untreated fir, with no annual treatment.
- No rot pathway. There is no base rail sitting in wet ground absorbing moisture.
- No mite harborage. Red mite colonizes cracks and end grain in timber and has nowhere equivalent on a steel frame.
- Galvanized hardware cloth all round rather than chicken wire. That is the specification that actually decides security, and most enclosures in this class do not state it. See hardware cloth against chicken wire.
- A waterproof, anti-UV cover included rather than sold separately - which is what keeps the ground under it usable through a wet season, and what stops hawks.
- Reconfigurable. It comes apart and moves rather than being replaced.
What it needs
- A henhouse. This is the first purchase, not an optional extra.
- A ground apron. The base is the weak point on every metal run - a perimeter meeting soil is a route in for anything that digs.
- Cold galvanizing paint on any cut edge or drilled hole from assembly, which is where corrosion starts.
- Shade in a hot climate. The cover helps, and a 10 by 13 foot footprint in full sun still wants more.
- Space. Thirteen feet by ten is a serious commitment of yard, and it is worth measuring before ordering.

What the numbers say
157.2in x 117.6in = 128.4 sq ft of whole-unit footprint, which includes the attached run and is therefore generous. At 4 sq ft per standard hen that is 32 birds, against a claim of 15.

128.4 sq ft is the largest ground area on this site by a wide margin - more than twice the next biggest.
The listing claims room for 12 to 15 chickens. Read as run space at the published 8 sq ft a bird that is about 16, so the claim is reasonable - which is unusual enough here to say out loud. The bird column in our table divides by the 4 sq ft indoor figure, and that is the wrong measure for an enclosure with no henhouse in it.
Fully wrapped in galvanized hardware cloth rather than chicken wire is the specification that matters. Chicken wire keeps chickens in; hardware cloth keeps raccoons out, and they are not the same job.
A waterproof anti-UV cover is included, which is the detail that keeps the ground under it usable through a wet season.
